Helpful, effective, and from the heart! Kim is a master of communication and relationships. I love how this course provides an easy step by step guide for successful, honest, and loving communication. While participating in this course I appreciated the videos of Kim. I felt like she was speaking from her heart to mine. I loved the colorful PDF question guides and resources after each video. The questions provided were in-depth and great for self-reflection and school-wide discussion. This course will help improve climate and culture in schools around the world!

Oh, to have had the opportunity to take this course when I was a new teacher 25 years ago! I'm glad that it's never too late to start anew! After this pandemic, the way we teach will be different; however, the desire and the need to connect with others will remain the same. Effective communication is the keystone for anyone who works with others, not just educators. Be it in an academic setting, professional relationship, or even on a personal level, the ability to connect is the measure of true success. This course is designed to meet you where you are with Ms. Bearden at your side with each step you take! The videos that begin each lesson are like having a heart to heart with a dear friend. Each principle begins with Ms. Bearden sharing a personal story, speaking right to you! As a learner, I was impressed with the thoughtfulness of the course design. The lessons are rich and deep, easy to follow, and resource filled. Most important to this busy teacher is the "next steps" advice which Ms. Bearden shares, allowing the practice of the principle to begin immediately...yes, immediately! After this course, I feel like a first year teacher-filled with excitement and promise entering my classroom-a place where the climate and culture creates success for all!

Kim talks about the importance of consideration. WOW. We love to talk a great game but it's "putting in the work" that matters the most. By creating a culture and climate that we can believe in. Kim Bearden is one of those people that is intentional, genuine, and heartfelt with everything she touches. The light in Kim shines through to all she reaches. You can tell that her life is about building her students, teachers, friends and most importantly her family up. This PD was about ways to communicate with others. It helped me gain insight into how to deal with students, coworkers, friends and my family. I highly recommend investing in yourself so you can influence your people if that is your students, coworkers or family and friends. It was extremely easy to follow thanks to hand outs that were provided between each module. Take the time and go through a journey with Kim Bearden on effective communication-you won't regret it!
